Life is very complex in this day and age and we all face constant challenges in our daily lives. This is unlikely to change as it is the nature of life on this planet. The difference between someone who struggles through their challenges and someone who navigates them with ease is being in the flow. Being in the flow will not take away your challenges but will allow you to handle them with greater clarity and purpose.
The quickest way to enter the flow is through appreciation and gratitude. You see, no matter what adversity you are currently facing and no matter what mountains lie before you to climb, there is always something to be grateful for and gratitude allows you to enjoy the journey. Let’s face it, our path is never going to be free of obstacles so why not make the journey fun? This is most easily done through gratitude.
Yes, it is much easier to curse our situation and curse the universe when things don’t go our way but, inevitably, things will not always go our way. So why not just make the best of whatever situation we are in? We have to face it anyways so why not face it with a joyous heart and inner peace, which is best achieved through gratitude?
Now, you may ask, how can I be grateful in the midst of the storms of life but this is easier than you think. All you have to do is, in any moment that you are in, recognize three things that you are grateful for. This can be done in the most difficult of circumstances. For example, if you find yourself in a car accident, you can be grateful for the fact that you did not die, you did not kill anybody, and that nobody, who you care about, was with you, if all of these are true. If you become ill and are admitted to the hospital, you can be grateful for the gift of symptoms to tell you that there is something wrong, the medical care you are receiving and that you caught the illness before it became more serious.
You can always find something to be grateful for, despite your circumstances, and this should be your regular practice, in both good times and bad, in order for you to be in the flow. Right now, as you finish this article, write down three things that you are grateful for and make this your daily practice from now on. If you do this, you will elevate your life to higher levels of flow and allow abundance to enter your life.
