The Most Important Lesson from a Transformation Weekend

This is a follow-up to my last article on a recent weekend workshop I attended with legendary author, speaker and spiritual teacher Neale Donald Walsch. It was Neale who taught me one of the most important lessons of my life.

You see, we all face change, challenge and adversity in many different forms, whether they are in the realm of our health, our personal relationships, our career, our finances or our personal belief system. Nobody is immune to this.

What has put this into perspective is Neale’s most important lesson for me. That lesson is that your life is not about you but about everybody whose life you touch. This is a profound teaching and applies to you no matter what you may be dealing with.

The second part to this teaching is that whatever you think you lack in your life, give it to somebody else. For example, if you feel that you don’t have enough food to eat, give some of whatever you have to someone who is going hungry. If you don’t feel that you have enough love in your life, give love to somebody who really needs it now.

Whatever you give away will come back to you in greater amounts. I encourage you all to sit with and deeply ponder this teaching which has the power to completely transform your life if you truly embody it.
